About Accessories

The keyboard controllers drive PTZ speed domes, DVRs and NVRs by joystick over RS-232, RS-485 or the network, with presets, auto scan, tours and patterns; the 4D model also decodes 4K live view and controls a video wall. The VCMH Series camera housings have an IP66 marine finish for coastal and harsh sites, and the Vista Series CCTV lenses cover standard and IR-corrected varifocal, manual iris and zoom lenses, all with glass optics.

Questions about Accessories

What is the difference between Videoline's 3D and 4D keyboard controllers?

The 4D N10D-KBC adds video to camera control: alongside a four-dimensional joystick for PTZ functions, it decodes 4K live view, has 4-channel HDMI output, controls a video wall and saves snapshots and recordings to a USB drive. The 3D N116-KBC and N117-KBC steer pan, tilt and zoom with a three-axis joystick.

How many PTZ cameras can one keyboard controller run?

One N116-KBC keyboard controller runs up to 32 PTZ speed domes, and up to four of them can be linked to work together. Its three-axis joystick sets pan and tilt speed and lens magnification, it has multiple protocols built in with a selectable baud rate, and its backlit display shows the protocol and current camera.

What camera housing should I use near the sea?

Use a housing with a marine finish, such as Videoline's VCMH Series, which is rated IP66 and made for coastal installations and harsh environments. Its slide-and-hang design makes installation and servicing easier, and it mounts on a wall with a choice of semi or fully cable-managed brackets.

What is an IR-corrected varifocal lens?

An IR-corrected lens keeps the picture in focus when a camera switches from daylight to infrared at night, where an ordinary lens can drift out of focus. Videoline's Vista Series includes IR-corrected varifocal lenses alongside standard varifocal, manual iris and zoom lenses, all with glass optics.
